The Applied Biosystems HITACHI ABI PRISM 3130 Genetic Analyzer is a DNA sequencer which analyzes the base sequence of the gene (DNA) encoding information of the life. Four capillaries are equipped and can analyze the base sequence of 4 samples at same time. One analysis takes the time of around 90 to 120 minutes. The number of bases which we can analyze is possible to 1000 bases at one sample. It is an useful and indispensable device for a genetic study.
