The nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer is an indispensable tool for structural determination of molecules, molecular motions, and interactions in solution. For measurement of NMR spectroscopy, a sample dissolved in deuterated solvent is placed in the strong magnetic field. When a radio frequency pulse is irradiated to the sample solution, a nuclear magnetic resonance response is obtained as a free induction decay (FID) from the excited sample. The signals are picked up, accumulated, and transferred by Fourier transformation to provide the corresponding signal(s) of target atomic nuclei.
